Archeology with social projection in Nicaragua: Inclusive pedagogical dynamic’s
Keywords:

Archeology, as a social science, studies the human being of the past, closely linked with the society of the present. In Nicaragua, one of the main drawbacks of this science is that the results of the investigations conducted do not go beyond the national and foreign researchers in the discipline. It seems that it has not been taken into account that the results of research of this nature should be directed towards the general population. But in recent years, awareness of this problem has been acquired and a series of actions have been promoted to bring this science and the results of its research in the country to a general, non-specialized, public, mainly to children. This article shares some reflections on this problem and gives an account of the concrete actions that have been carried out to overcome it. This includes programs such as the archeology awareness workshops for people with visual, hearing and motor disabilities; educational workshops aimed at children, and the production of the first audiovisual and sign language material on archeology produced in Nicaragua. In summary, the text records the changes promoted by Nicaraguan archaeologists, together with the National Institute of Culture, to reinforce the social character of this science, bringing it closer to a wider public.
