Variables related to Language and Literature learning: A National Learning Evaluation analysis
Keywords:
Learning, academic achievement, student, statistical mathematics, quality, educationAbstract
Multilevel models are becoming increasingly important given the need to identify traits beyond the ones linked to didacts and pedagogy applied by teachers since the models infer certain variables’ effect on students’ accomplishments. The environment where students engage, classrooms, school facilities and outside of it; relations with classmates, teachers, and principals, classroom and school state; family and community environment along with the socioeconomic conditions, are key when assessing students’ academic performance in various subjects. Thus, the factor’s impact must be a reference to promoting policies for improving educational quality in schools. Therefore, this paper displays the weight of variables associated to other levels, aside from the academic, in students’ performance in the class of Language and Literature in fourth and sixth grade in primary school, as well as ninth grade in high school, with data from the National Learning Evaluation 2015.
