Abstract

This work addresses university students’ anxiety, comprehended as an emotional state and personality trait. It is the individual inclination to respond to situations sensed as threatening, which can be feelings of tension, anguish, agitation, intense fear and some physical signs such as profuse sweating, difficulty breathing and rapid heartbeat. In Nicaragua, the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity (GRUN) has enforced various actions through the National Plan to Fight and for Human Development (2022-2026) with programs revolving around youth care. Institutions including Ministry of Youth, Ministry of Health, and universities are engaged in addressing students’ psycho-affective aspects by promoting their overall well-being. Low cost and high efficiency practical strategies are advised in the university environment to manage anxiety. Some are emotional, relaxation exercises, meditation and search for support systems. Yet, in more critical cases, professional guidance is crucial. To offer accessible support, a website design is raised for students to connect through a QR code. There they will find resources and coping strategies.
